Stationary Compactors
Designed primarily for dry waste applications such as warehouses and distribution facilities, the stationary compactor is bolted to a concrete pad and attached to a container, often supplied by the waste hauler, which holds the compacted material. The receiver box is removed when full, emptied, and returned. The compactor and detachable container are not water tight, and as such, are not recommended for wet waste applications.
Self-Contained Compactors
Designed primarily for wet waste applications such as supermarkets, restaurants, hospitals and nursing homes, this system can also be used for dry waste applications, where limited space is an issue. The compactor is permanently attached to the container, and the entire unit is removed from the generator’s location when it is emptied, eliminating the potential for on-site leakage. Container capacities range from 10 to 40 cubic yards.
